8 Years of Discovery, 8 Reasons to Celebrate!

This week, we're celebrating 8 years of Elevation Science! Since our founding, we've been dedicated to hands-on exploration, discovery, and education - bringing exciting science to people of all ages, and we've loved every second of it.

To mark this milestone, we're sharing 8 things we're proud of - and asking you to celebrate with us by donating $8 in honor of 8 great years.

8 Things We're Proud Of:

1.One Great Idea: A bold vision took shape - creating a sustainable model for paleontological discovery and research while creating unique hands-on experiences to help people forge new connections with science, the outdoors, and their own sense of adventure. On February 20th, 2017, that idea became reality when Elevation Science officially opened to the public.

2.Two Museum Prep Labs: We've managed fossil preparation labs in two incredible museums, giving volunteers and students the chance to work on real fossils. If you're ever in Cincinnati, come visit the Paleo Prep Lab in the Cincinnati Museum Center!

3. (Nearly) Three Hundred Unique Opportunities for Thirty Thousand Explorers: We've led 299 (See? Nearly 300!) hands-on experiences, from field expeditions to Dino Camps for underserved communities, bringing science and discovery to life for 30,007 participants of all ages.

4. Four Brand-New Sites to Explore: Our staff and participants have discovered four new dig sites just since 2022! These include a new sauropod and three theropods!

5. Five Dino Wishes Granted: We've made dinosaur digging dreams come true for five amazing kids from Make-A-Wish! Our most recent visitor this summer even made the local news!

6. Six Incredible Field Interns: Our paid internship program has provided professional field paleontology experiences for six emerging paleontologists. We just completed interviews for our 2025 interns and have announced our brand-new Paleo Prep Lab Internship! Make sure to share the news and apply!

7. Seven Field Seasons of Adventure: From the views of the Beartooths to the thrill of discovery in the Bighorn Basin; we've spent seven summers doing what we love - digging, learning, and making lifelong friends. (If you haven't done so yet, sign up for the field season now! We're 90% full!)

8. Eight Tons of Fossils: Thanks to our hardworking participants, we've excavated and transported over eight tons of fossil material for study and preservation.

Celebrate with us today by donating $8 (or more) to keep the spirit of exploration alive!

Thank you for being part of our journey! Here's to the next 8 years of discovery!
